Our Home At Christmas

Annually, our family starts installing our home Christmas decorations in November after the "All Souls Day."  In the Philippines when the "ber" months begin (September),  everyone feels that it is  the start of the most wonderful time of the year ~ the Christmas Season. Radio stations start to play Christmas songs once in a while and local stores also begin to sell Christmas decorations.

Most of the Christmas decorations and ornaments you see in this blog were collected and  purchased long time ago.  We took care of these stuff and keep them secured over the years so they are all good as new. Some were made by my step mom and myself recently like Queen Elsa and Olaf and the Santa Claus and little santas.

THE CURTAINS AND COLORFUL LIVING ROOM DECORATIONS

CUTE CHRISTMAS TEDDY BEAR AND SNOW MAN

OUR SLIM AND TALL CHRISTMAS TREE

I bought this Christmas tree ten (10) years ago and it is still good as new.  It is a  tall and slim one which does not eat so much space at home.

THE CEILING AND WALL DECORS

The garland on the ceiling with ribbons were made by my step mom.   The frames that you see were my cross stitch works a couple of years back with some hanging Christmas ornaments

CHRISTMAS ANGELS

These angels are  eight years old but still in good shape.  These are expensive nowadays.

THE CHRISTMAS SOCKS

Christmas socks on the door, on the cabinets, on the walls... Christmas socks everywhere !

THE CHRISTMAS JARS AND PLATES

ADORABLE SANTA CLAUS, WIND MILLS AND CLOWN

The  Santa Claus and little Santas were made by my step mom.  She only purchased the masks from a bargain store.  The santa clothes were actually children's winter clothing from an Ukay-Ukay store which my mom bought in Zamboanga two years ago.  She is fond of buying cheap stuff which she can use for our future decorating projects. The clown was from a garage sale in our village.

THE NATIVITY SCENE

Originally, our nativity scene was only just composed of figurines, no stable.  We decided to build the stable from scrap materials and garlands this year.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS VILLAGE

A collection of my Christmas figurines over the years built into a cute Christmas Village

SNOW QUEEN ELSA AND OLAF

Crown Asia has the ice castle and Olaf from the movie "Frozen."  We have Queen Elsa of Arendale plus OlafMy step mom and I were very excited about this project and it turned out great ! Our neighbors especially the children are enjoying it every time they pass by our houseI bought the soundtrack of "Frozen" as well and play it alternately with Christmas songs.   Sounds and lights were done by my father.  I featured this Christmas display in one of my earlier blog.
